Born and raised in Marondera, Mike Basil Mukariri completed his Form Six and moved to Harare with a single, burning goal — to chase his passion for boxing and make a name for himself in the ring.

His amateur foundation began in January 2020. He fought relentlessly through the amateur scene, learning his craft through sheer volume — so many bouts he's lost count. That period was his university of boxing.

He turned professional in 2022. He started with a setback, losing his debut, but bounced back with authority — securing three consecutive knockouts. On August 30, 2025 he won his first international bout, defeating Hillary Kataya at Rise of the Champions 6.

They call him The Dreadnought because he comes forward and he doesn't stop.
