In Manny Pacquiao, I see a beacon. His remarkable career is the standard I strive toward.
From the resilient streets of Mtapa, Gweru, a champion was forged. Hassan Osman Milanzi, born November 12, 1997, found his calling not in a grand arena, but on the grounds of Sandra Primary School. At twelve, a seed was planted by his former headmaster, Mr. PC Juru, who first introduced him to the discipline and art of boxing.
Milanzi's amateur career was a steady climb of continental conquest — Bronze at the 2015 National Youth Games, Silver at the 2017 Zone 4 Games in Maputo, then the 2018 Zimbabwe Bantamweight National Title and the 2019 Universal Boxing International Championship. In 2017, his craft found its definitive shape under mentor and manager Alie “Otto” Phiri at Otto Boxing Club.
2024 was the year of breakthroughs. On April 6th he became the ABU SADC Champion. On November 9th he lifted the WBF International Title, cementing his place among the sport's elite.
A devoted husband and father in Hatcliffe, Harare, Milanzi balances the fierce intensity of training with family life. He trains others at Crossfit Kyma and Body Active Gym. His goal is clear: world champion. The final hurdles are sponsorship and global stages.
